July 16 is the Day

I received the call as promised this afternoon with details about the start of the next leg of our cancer journey. We will be meeting with our new team on Monday, July 16 at 9:30 a.m. on the 7th floor at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. My genitourinary medical oncologist will be Dr. Lance Pagliaro.

I’m assuming we’ll fly out of here on Sunday and return on Tuesday. We’re still not sure of how the trip will go down. Even though I’m fairly sure another surgery will be called for, I doubt that we’ll go out there with plans to stay for a surgery. But, everything is on the table, and we’ll need to be light on our feet to make sure we make exactly the right decisions.

We continue to be hopeful and I continue to feel great, despite what is going on inside of me. We appreciate the showering of love and concern. I literally spend each day with the feeling that we are being wrapped in the loving arms of this community. It feels mighty good and we’ll take it with us as we go to Houston. As soon as I have more information, I’ll be posting it here.

Have a safe, wonderful Independence Day holiday!
